Hi, it is a pleasure to meet you all! My name is Luis(but you can call me Luuh) Carmona. I'm a software engineer and I'm 29 years old.
I have been coding for about 2 months so far and I'm absolutely loving it.
Ever since I built my first PC, I've always wanted to work for a tech company but I didn't exactly knew how to, nor did I know anybody in the tech industry. So i did the next best thing............ look up YouTube tutorials on how to get an IT job!
The biggest takeaways during that process were the amazing and inspiring people that post content and really want to others succeed. However, I really didn't like the process of: reading, memorize, take the exam, pass, and then repeat the process. I wasn't really creating anything so I really wasn't happy with this process.
Fast-forward to a couple years later where I met a beautiful woman...... My girlfriend! She always had a deep interest in software engineering and UX/UI design for a long time. So when I saw her starting a bootcamp named "100Devs", I was immediately intrigued at what she was doing and without a doubt I wanted to join her in that journey and that's where I am now.
Now you're probably thinking, "Hey Luuh, what does this have to do with failing?".
Well think about it!
All my life I always thought that if you made decision on something where you want to be in life, failure was not an option!
I think failure is one of the most important things people have to go thru in order to succeed. And not just that, but learning from your failures too is one of the best qualities to have in life.
After I was diagnosed with an eye disease I thought that my life was over thinking that I was never going to able to see again. But I didn't let that stop me from looking for a solution and helped stop the disease!
From that moment on I decided that no matter what hardship life throws at me, that's not gonna stop me from learning and finding a way to doing something that I love doing, NO MATTER WHAT!
I know I ramble a lot trust me I do 😅😅.
My point of making this my first post is to first and foremost introduce myself and hopefully to encourage somebody reading this.
I will commit to posting at least once a week showing my ups and downs of my coding journey, and I hope you enjoy it.
